Design Ideas-
Color Schemes, Backgrounds and Other Options
All of our ready-made designs and design components are highly configurable to suit your tastes and requirements. Here are just a few samples of custom modifications you can apply to your site. If you don't see exactly what you'd like here, just ask us- we'd be happy to create something for you, or to incorporate your art or color scheme into your site. See "Policies" for more information or email us with any questions you may have.
Banners
Here are some banners that you can use on your site or as a jumping-off point for your own design. The banner is closely identified with the person or business it represents. If you choose to design your own banner, we're happy to help in any way you'd like, from converting an existing graphic to a usable format, to helping to assemble your design from various components, or designing one from scratch.

Backgrounds
Here are some samples of background tiles. They can be made to use with any color scheme. You can use these as backgrounds in most page elements (body, table cells, etc.). You can also mix and match background images with background colors, but not in the same element- for example, you could use a tile in one table cell and a color in another, but not both in the same cell.

Fonts
You can use a variety of fonts on your site, either globally or varying by text element. Not all fonts will render on all browsers or computers, though. If you choose a font that's somewhat obscure, you should also choose a fairly universally available font as a backup, such as Times New Roman or Arial. If you'd like to use a particular font or effect in an element like your banner, it's best to create an image, rather than leaving it to the browser to insert it. Here are some examples of fonts and text-element treatments that are actually images.

Navigational Options
Here are some broad categories of navigational components. Like other elements, these can be personalized in many ways, including fonts, colors and, in some cases, background images.
