Sample Webpage- Your Header would go here

(The 'header' should be a brief descriptive phrase that describes your product or service and ideally contains keywords aimed at search engines)

This is where your text would go. It could be any length, any number of paragraphs. It could say anything you'd like, although it's good form to take a journalistic approach in which you tell your visitor the most important information first, then expand on it lower in the page. You should remember to tell your visitor "who, what, where, when, why and how."

  • Who- who you are;
  • What- what you do or are offering;
  • Where- a description of your service area;
  • When- this could be when your product or service is most important to your customer or when you will deliver (or both);
  • Why- why your visitor should choose you to provide the particular product or service you're offering, and
  • How- how you do business, for example, your guarantee or how you provide service after the sale, how you make it easy for people to do business with you, how you deliver your product or service, etc.

Of course, not all of these will apply to every situation, so you should decide which fit yours and apply those. What's important is that you put yourself in the shoes of the typical website visitor and write your copy to make the biggest impact in the fewest words. Remember, web-surfers, as a class, are notorious for their short attention spans. You truly only have one opportunity to make a meaningful first impression in most cases, so you've got to make it count.
