What follows is an essay I wrote in preparation for a photography demonstration I gave at a local arts festival. The festival was held on July 9, 2011. All information contained in the article is current as of today (July 11, 2011). With consumer electronics, and perhaps especially with digital cameras, information goes out of date quickly.
